Bord na Móna and SSE Renewables have launched a 50:50 joint venture which will target the delivery of up to 800MW of new renewable onshore wind energy across the Midlands.
This partnership includes the proposed Garryhinch Wind Farm located in Laois -Offaly. Since the first announcement of this proposed wind farm in 2021, Bord na Móna has appointed a project Community Engagement and Stakeholder Team including a designated Community Liaison Officer to engage with local communities and near neighbours. This team remains in place and your local Community Liaison Officer, Niall will continue to be available to meet residents as before and is contactable at 087 9951174.

In recent months, the project team has been advancing the design of the proposed development and now wishes to consult the local community about the proposed draft layout for the wind farm.
In order to get your feedback on the proposed development, including any queries and concerns you may have on the project, a series of Community Engagement Sessions have been organised.
